The Cracker Mill - Distinctive Products for Hearth and Home since 1975

Stoves come in a variety of types and sizes. We use the term "Stove" to apply to any freestanding fuel burning appliance that stands on it's own without the need for enclosing contruction or any exisiting appliance. Most stoves will require the use of a chimney or vent system and they are generally less costly than inserts or fireplaces. Cookstoves, while technically still a stove, have their own category.

Following is a list of the different styles of stoves we offer for sale and installation in our market area. (See our sales and service policies about Internet sales). Click on the stove category link to get a list of the brands and models we offer in that category. Models change from time to time so we may not have the exact model shown available at any time. Please call for specific model information.
Wood Stoves We started out selling wood stoves back in the 1970's and wood stoves continue to be our biggest seller. From single room to whole house heaters we have well over twenty models to choose from. We also service many older models no longer in production. We love the warmth and charm the traditional woodstove offers and we specialize in wood heat safety.
Coal Stoves Coal continues to be a mainstay for many in the Northeast and New England. We think coal is a great choice and offer several coal stove models.
Pellet Stoves Wood Pellets have sparked the interest of a great many stove enthusiasts over the years. We offer only the finest quality pellet stoves for our clients and we have many years of experience installing and servicing these solid fuel stoves.
Gas Stoves Gas stoves are perhaps the most convenient way to enjoy the warmth and aesthetics of a real fire. Without the work and effort of a wood, coal or pellet stove these truly wonderful stoves have become a favorite for many of our clients who are looking for the benefits of a wood stove without the mess. While not yet as cost effective as wood or coal in large environments, the gas stove has proven to be an effective alternative as a supplemental heat source or for smaller spaces. If your main objective is the beauty and charm of a real fire you will love the many gas stove options that can make that dream come true.
Electric Stoves Elecric "fires" can be a great solution for those who don't need lots of heat or can't install a chimney or vent pipe. The simulated wood fire look is amazingly realistic in today's models.
